Responsible Gambling

Gangstasino is meant to be entertainment, and we are committed to keeping it that way. Responsible gambling means staying in control of the time and money you spend, and we provide tools and information to help you do exactly that. Gambling should never be treated as a source of income or a way to solve financial problems.

Tools you control

From account settings you can set deposit limits by day, week or month; loss limits that cap net losses over a period; and session-time limits that log you out automatically. Any increase to a limit waits 24 hours before it takes effect, while decreases apply immediately. Reality-check reminders show elapsed time and your net position during a session so a quick game does not quietly turn into a long one.

Self-exclusion

If you need a break, self-exclusion is available from 24 hours up to a permanent close. It applies immediately and cannot be reversed within the period you choose. During self-exclusion we remove you from promotional messaging and block account access for the selected duration, and we recommend pairing it with self-exclusion tools offered by your bank or device.

Recognising a problem

Warning signs include chasing losses, gambling more than you can afford, borrowing money to play, hiding how much you gamble, or letting gambling affect work, sleep or relationships. If several of these feel familiar, treat it seriously and reach out for support sooner rather than later.

Protecting minors

You must be of legal gambling age in your province — 19 in most of Canada, and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. We verify age at registration, and we encourage adults who share devices to use parental-control software such as Net Nanny or GamBlock to keep gambling content away from children.

Where to get help

Free, confidential help is available in Canada through ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600), the Responsible Gambling Council and GameSense, as well as international services such as Gamblers Anonymous and Gambling Therapy. If gambling has stopped being fun, these services can help you regain control — and our support team can point you to them and set account limits on request.

Setting a budget before you play

The simplest safeguard is to decide in advance how much money and time you are comfortable spending, and to treat that amount as the price of entertainment rather than an investment. Only gamble with money you can afford to lose, never with funds meant for rent, bills or family needs, and avoid topping up to chase a losing session. Our deposit and loss limits exist to help you hold that line automatically.

Common myths

No system or ‘hot streak’ can beat the built-in house edge; each spin and each hand is independent, so a game is never ‘due’ for a win. Chasing losses does not improve your odds, and bonuses are entertainment value rather than a guaranteed return. Understanding this makes it easier to keep gambling in perspective.

Support for family and friends

Gambling harm affects more than the person playing. If someone close to you is struggling, the same Canadian services — ConnexOntario, the Responsible Gambling Council and GameSense — offer advice and support for families as well as players. Encouraging an honest conversation and pointing to these resources can make a real difference.
